There are around 1200 different types of Bamboo plants, all belonging to a family of quickly growing plants, and all straight. This type of plant is counted among the planet’s renewable resources (one Bamboo plant can grow as much as 5cm a day).

The species that is used in textile production is the Heterocycla Pubescens, commonly known as “Bamboo Moso”.

This bamboo contains a unique natural bio-agent - “Kum” – which has significant ant-bacterial properties. These properties transfer to the fabric as they are without losing effectiveness after being processed.

These strong and bacteria-proof plants are cultivated without the use of pesticides.
